does it? I was reading a page that compared the Instinct, Fenix 5 and a Fenix 3. Said the Instinct was the only one that didn’t connect. Seemed like a strange thing to leave out.
Yes, it does, on both ANT and Bluetooth. I've got some wahoo sensors and it connects to both.
As to answer your original question, I don't think it's a fair comparison, I've got the Instinct, my wife has the Fenix 5 s (small one).
Her F5 has VO2max and all the normal training features and statuses, Instinct doesn't have the least one :). I can push workouts from the calendar .. and that's kind of it. No VO2max, no training load, no lactate threshold, no training plan.
Yes, it's nice in its simplicity, but for sport they're not in the same league. For other things maybe.
´The instinct does connect to Speed and Cadence sensors, it does not connect to Power sensors. I personally am using it with a speed sensor.
