The Tide Widget Petition

Tides are available on old Casio Protrek/pathfinder/g-shocks for decades, why not on the high tech Instinct ?

If you think a true Outdoors Smartwatch deserves a way to follow tides.
If you surf with your Instinct
If you fish with your Instinct
If you use the Boat activity and knows where the MOB is hidden

Answer that thread to show to Garmin: we would love a tide widget and we say "please" ! :-)

  • The instinct really is a 99% complete out doors man watch that kills the market for g shock wearers like my self. But without tides I do feel it’s not complete

Adding tides may make it complete for you because of your location, but it's far from being a complete Outdoorsman watch.  Here are some features that are available if one were to upgrade to the Fenix 6 Series that a true Outdoorsman watch should include.

Maps (which would require a color screen to use properly), Heat & Altitude Acclimation, PulseOx sensor for higher altitude activities, the Hunt & Fish calendar, the Climb Pro feature and the Bouldering app.

  • Fenix is way too expensive sorry. Lost my business, I'll get a Rip Curl tide watch, at least they've got a good selection of colours.

The new instincts have updated pulse readers with pulse ox they also have maps. Just not color. It’s a very good watch. Would be complete with tides.

  • They don't have maps. They have breadcrumb trail navigation just like the old instincts

  • The new instincts have updated pulse readers with pulse ox

Yes, I'm aware the solar editions have pulse ox, as do many Garmin watches.  You were talking about your Instinct and I'm replying to you on the Instinct forum.

    also have maps.

No, they don't have maps.  Maps show contour, roads, water, trails, elevation, buildings, etc.  The one on the left is the Instinct Series and the FR945 on the right.  The 3rd is Birdeyes View you can use on watches with maps.  That's as good as it gets for the Instinct Series.

  • Would be complete with tides.

There are tides in the Instinct Solar Surf edition. If they are a necessity for you, you can have them.

    Seriously!

  • Let us purchase it or something for instinct solar that doesn't have it.  I want it.

  • I want it on my instinct solar. Stop limiting software by hardware. Let us purchase the widget if needed.
