The Tide Widget Petition

Tides are available on old Casio Protrek/pathfinder/g-shocks for decades, why not on the high tech Instinct ?

If you think a true Outdoors Smartwatch deserves a way to follow tides.
If you surf with your Instinct
If you fish with your Instinct
If you use the Boat activity and knows where the MOB is hidden

Answer that thread to show to Garmin: we would love a tide widget and we say "please" ! :-)

I'm a lifeguard and a frequent catamaran sailor and that widget would be very useful on my instinct

Hello Brian,

this looks like a perfect solution - unfortunately it doesn't work for Europe.

Do you have any idea how to get it working for regions outside US?

I am going to look at another source of data besides NOAA so that I can expand the usage outside of the US and have a way for predicting tides based on Lat/Long instead of NOAA station ID. I'll update it here when I get it done.

I can report that embedding 3 or 4 tides (as required) into one daily calendar event is working really well for me since my post below, I am finding it useful and practical every day. In lieu of other options I will continue spending 10 minutes a month to manually create a CSV to import a month of tide events into my calendar. But I would love if your direct feed option would work for me down here in Sydney Australia. Please continue the weaving of your magic!!

Yet another person who bought the regular instinct solar thinking I could add a tide widget but can't. Apparently tide information isn't important when you're fishing or boating....

Hello, I am an garmin instinct user, i love this watch and for me I think the garmin team could add the tide widget for this version too.

Hey garmin team this feature it's already a developed and don't require to much effort to implement on the base insctinct. Listen the people who invested in your first version of the watch

My truck stereo has the ability and it doesn't require to much effort to implement the 'navigation' system and they should give it to me for free. I justify this because I really, really want it and I don't care about anyone who paid for it because it's all about me!
