So far 14.20 has been positive for me with the battery. Doing spot checks shows it back to .3 percent per hour and staying consistent.

Still 6% in 6 hours.
I can't believe it takes Garmin months to figure out the problem.
I even got a replacement a few days ago, when contacting the support regarding the problem.
With that performance…
Update: 100% at 8.00 now 95% at 16.00
Wiyjout any activity or GPS, only HR.
Not OK at all. Incredible.
Exactly the same as with everything turned on.
I tried every combination. Even hard reset and skipped coupling to the phone.
Always the same result, 1.3/h.
Until now my fenix 5 has been got the update yet. I checked by Garmin Express on my computer. Please help.
Okay so mine was good. It was good on the old FW and was good on 14.20. For some reason it's getting worse. Watch was charged to 94% last night (about 9pm). It's 8.30am now and it's 88%. It used to drop 6-8% in a 24hr period and all of a sudden it's dropped 6% in less than half the time without any GPS or exercise tracking.
v14.2, fenix 5 silver, widget: Battery Monitor
From 90.3% - 43% = 47.3% drain for 7.9 days = 0.25%/hour
Yesterday for 24 hours i have 0.4%/hour. This is 9.6% drain without workouts.
This morning i have 0.5-1%/hour battery drain.
When calculate from screenshot and now i got: 27.5-21.8=5.7% drain for 10.73hours = 0.53%/hours
On screenshot i have 0.9%/hr drain or 2% drain for 2.2 hours with no workout mode.
Since posting this it's now 69% without any exercise tracking. So since Saturday night at 94% it's dropped to 69% without any GPS tracking. 25% in about 36hrs.
Your experience of a sudden deterioration in battery discharge rate is interesting. This matches my experience. Over the past two firmware updates, I read about people experiencing high discharge and i was running at about 7% per day. Suddenly, over the past 2 weeks and 2 charging cycles, my discharge rate doubled with no particular change in activity or settings. I recharged on Saturday and since then, before a ride this morning, I seem to have returned to 7% per day. I shall keep monitoring

54-47=7%, 0.29%/hr, 56 minutes Strenght with ant+ chest strap HR sensor, no gps
47-37=10%, 0.42%hr, no workouts
37-21=16%, 0.67%hr, 41 minutes cycling(transport) with ant+ speed sensor and optical HR sensor, no gps
90.3-43=47.3% drain for 7.9 days = 0.25%/hour
Charged mine 100% at 00:00. Now at 23:12 - 83%. I had only 1 activity - 1,5h swimming indoor, no gps. 17% per day - terrible.
Having the same problem with my fenix 5 sapphire
I thought I would try a watch face with no second refresh. Switch to skytracker and it has improved battery drain a lot (even with the watch face periodic refresh). So far 9 days since last charged and still 46% left. This is roughly 0.25% per hr including 3 hrs of gps activities.
again high battery drain bellow 50% i have 2hours walking with gps. 3 days with 9-10% batery drain and today 28%
