Activity not transferring from Mini 2 to Explore

I have a rather lengthy activity that refuses to sync over between my unit and my phone via the Explore app, and consequentially it has not been ported over into the Explore website. I have also tried connecting the device to a PC to no avail. Is there a way I can manually force it into Explore via the web or app?

  • Open a support ticket. This page should have buttons at the bottom to open a ticket via various means. If the option is present, use phone or chat. Based on forum posts, email is a useless black hole.

  • Typically when I see this it is because the syncing process is not done fully. In the explore mobile app there are 2 ways to sync: 1 from the devices tab & 2 from the account tab. Please try syncing your device again through the app but start by syncing from the account tab and then the devices tab. Syncing the Garmin Explore App

  • Possibly what occurred here, but resyncing via these methods has not resulted in transferring over the activity. It is still present on device (and visible if I connect to a PC) however it refuses to transfer to Explore. It is as though you get one attempt at a transfer, and if that fails, it is impossible to fix.

  • To get it to the Explore web site, you need once more sync from the account tab. Once from the device tab to get it to the phone app, once from the account tab to get it from there to the web, In that order.

  • I have two inReach devices a Mini2 and GPSMAP 66i. Each are used for different activities; Mini2 for motorcycle adventures and the 66i for hiking adventures. So depending on the activity, I must switch between account by logging off both the Explore & Messenger App and then logging back in using the appropriate account associated with the device I will be using. I just acquired the Mini2 and was doing some testing and found that the last activity recorded did not transfer to the Explore app. I tried different things and even exported and imported the gpx file but then the activity became a track. This morning while moving from the 66i to the Mini2; I logged out of the 66i account and logged into the Mini2 account on both apps. I had to reconnect the Mini2 to the iPhone and there it was the last activity the didn't transfer to the Explore app before the log out, log in and reconnect sequence. So I'm not certain of this is a true work around but it did work this one time.
