My apologies on the mistake, yes the tap function for flag and shot location should be followed as outlined per the update changelog linked here:https://forums.garmin.com/outdoor-recreation/golf/f/approach…
Prior to stepping on the green, you must set the flag location relative to the location visible when you are close enough. The flag must be set manually.
Finally the word is out! I told so 9 months ago: https://forums.garmin.com/outdoor-recreation/golf/f/approach-z30/377747/pin-location
Thanks for the clarification, Cody. So, to be clear: I have a full set of CT10 sensors on all my clubs, putter included. Does that still apply? Will I still have to mark the pin AND the position of my first putt, or is simply marking the pin location enough? I've used Arccos, Shot Scope and now Garmin, but in the former two, I only had to set the pin location and not my ball's position on the green before putting, and I not only got the correct data, but my putt distances were correctly recorded as well. Being able to reference my putt distances is extremely important to me (and others, I suspect), and without this important metric, I might as well sell my S70, CT10 set and Z30 and return to Arccos.
CT10 sensors attached to putter and wedges for short or partial swings that cannot be detected with Autoshot on the watch only will automate the putt tracking for statistics...but they will not automatically mark the location of the putt on the green like the putt and flag marking feature will through button press.
Using the CT-10 sensor with a putter, the location of where the ball landed on the green will mark and then the amount of putts tracked will display next to the last location marked on the hole.
Thanks for the response, but will the distance of the putts be recorded, and if not, what do I need to do in order to make that happen, that’s all I want to know, thanks!
The % of short, medium and long range putts will record as a performance stat and course stat metric.
On the scorecard, the location on the map in relation to the green will show a dot for the putt being marked...but the distance will not show as the feature is only marking the spot on the green.
Understood. That's disappointing, but I appreciate your response. Guess it's back to Arccos, as much as I hate subscriptions.
