My virtual caddie is not working. I followed above steps mentioned and also update softaware on my approach S70. It was working fine until last week. Also, the wind data is not working neither
What specifically are you seeing on-screen when attempting to use the virtual caddie feature?
Also if wind information is not displaying, there is not a sync with the Garmin Golf app communicating with the watch via the Bluetooth connection during the round. If the Garmin Golf app is not running in the background, location permissions enabled always with precise location, or if permissions for the app to run in the background are not enabled...wind information will not display during the golf round.
If you are in need of support for your product to get assistance, I also recommend contacting Garmin Support to speak with a golf specialist about the issue to discuss and go over solutions to get those features working again.
My virtual caddie does not work after a factory reset on the s70. All day is on the golf app. Please help It is driving me mad. Have ct10 sensors
We just released a fix for this issue through the update released earlier today for the Approach S70 (Version 22.07)
Please keep in mind that you must be physically located on the golf course in order for the virtual caddie feature to suggest clubs, and we just released a software update for this issue to 100% of Approach S70 users about half an hour ago.
If your Approach S70 has not updated yet to version 22.07, please open the Garmin Golf app and sync your S70 through the Profile > My Devices menu and the update should sync over to your watch. Then on your next round when you are located at the course, confirm the Virtual Caddie feature is working correctly.
Thank you Cody for the update. I love that the issue is being addressed but to relay my position, I have to say that it is frustrating that this $1,000.00 + piece of equipment constantly requires fixes to have the virtual caddy working. Furthermore, it's very frustrating having to be at a golf course to tinker with the watch to ensure it's working. I have to spend a good portion of the beginning of my round stressing and tinkering with my watch to make sure it's giving me accurate and appropriate suggestions rather than focusing on the round.
Hi, when will a fix for virtual caddie be released for Fenix 8?
Updated last night and played a round today. Still only showing a red ! All my stats are in the golf app so really not happy. S70 Watch and ct10 sensors on all clubs. What a waste of money. Worked before any updates about 6 weeks ago. Really not happy
Do you have the problem of the sensors being unassigned too? I have this issue a lot
Exactly my point. The fixes they're providing for these $1,000 glitches require you to go test this at a golf course. You just spent money on a round, most certainly played most of the holes frustrated and unfocused and wasted money on a tee time in an effort to "fix" your expensive equipment. Only to come out in the end in the exact same position you were before. Then you will be told you have to go book a tee time again and try the fix.
For the record, i did find that deleting the CT10 sensors and adding them afterwards worked for me a few months back when i first encountered this problem.
Glad it's only a Golf Virtual Caddy.
Think about a diver watch monitoring your oxygen level, or a Pilot watch monitoring altitude...Can't afford those "bugs".
I'm sure Garmin does not feel a bit concerned about this Virtual Caddy bug.
