Make it easier to delete/edit shot lengths for each club.

Hi, I would like to see an improvement on how to manually remove misscalculated shots for each club. As of right now you have to manually check through each hole and scorecard and manually delete the shots (or add more shots) to get the correct length if the watch have missed to register a shot after the one you hit with the club.

My suggestion is to improve the "Gear" page, both on Garmin Connect and in the golf app so that you can expand each club and get all shots registered with that club, and from there manually delete shots that you know is miscalculated. So for example currently I have a 300+ yard shot with my 3 Iron which is impossible, but to remove that shot I'll have to manually check through each scorecard and hole to find that particular shot which is a big pain in the ass with the amount of rounds I have played, so If i just could find it directly under the "Gear" tab and remove it from there it would be so much easier.

An improvement ontop of this would be to add a link for each shot in the "Gear" section that would redirect you to the correct scorecard and hole for that particular shot.

  • If you're new enough, return your hardware. Garmin is incompetent on updating the software side outside of further monetizing it (see the subscription push in the golf app for their simulator). If you don't like the function out of the box, it aint getting better.

  • I completely agree. I use my Garmin because I've had for few years and feel stuck with it. But whenever anyone asks about, I tell look for another brand because the software support sucks! I will never recommend Garmin to my friends!

  • Even if they let max distance shot age out.

  • In my latest chat with tech support on this, the rep told me to delete my clubs and add them back to "reset" them. Insane. Why does Garmin think we're tracking shots in the first place? Just to throw away years of data? I changed my swing mechanics, I'd love to see if I'm now drawing more as I hope, but with larger deviation, or shooting shorter with a tighter cluster. To do that, you'll need to delete entire sets of clubs. Not that there's an easy way to un-retire the clubs and compare two 7 irons for example. Ridiculous.  They won't even make the club suggestion feature (available on the Marq golf series) available for an upgrade on a premium fenix watch (even for a fee).

Such great data potential only to be squandered. @Garmin, if you're looking for a UX designer, hit me up.

  • Either they do not care about customer satisfaction or they underlying software design is so poor that making such simple changes is hard/risky.

  • Certainly it's the former. They're huge corporate company and surely not paying attention. They just threw these forums at the problem hoping users would trouble shoot each other's problems. (prove me wrong , can we get any update here?)

  • Hello, there haven't been any viable updates on the implementation of this feature request, so unfortunately nothing has changed since my last post to the same question(s) on this thread last year.

The request is still open and I continue to add customers to the ticket as they come in. I have reached out and requested an update directly with engineering/development team on this. If I get one, I will be sure to share it here.

  • Thanks Garmin-Rob, +1 from me

  • I guess you could add me as well even if I have ordered Arccos and switching too my Apple Watch. Goodbye Garmin.
