Make it easier to delete/edit shot lengths for each club.

Hi, I would like to see an improvement on how to manually remove misscalculated shots for each club. As of right now you have to manually check through each hole and scorecard and manually delete the shots (or add more shots) to get the correct length if the watch have missed to register a shot after the one you hit with the club.

My suggestion is to improve the "Gear" page, both on Garmin Connect and in the golf app so that you can expand each club and get all shots registered with that club, and from there manually delete shots that you know is miscalculated. So for example currently I have a 300+ yard shot with my 3 Iron which is impossible, but to remove that shot I'll have to manually check through each scorecard and hole to find that particular shot which is a big pain in the ass with the amount of rounds I have played, so If i just could find it directly under the "Gear" tab and remove it from there it would be so much easier.

An improvement ontop of this would be to add a link for each shot in the "Gear" section that would redirect you to the correct scorecard and hole for that particular shot.

  • I had this as well. I went back and could not find the shot.

  • HAve there been any newer software updates than a year ago...?  I cannot remember ever doing an update and have had the S62 for three years now...

Yes, I have a 450yd drive I need to get rid of... goodness knows where or when it was!!

  • It's a shame. I got the CT10s and whenever someone asks about them I recommend to go with an Arccos instead. So yeah, no turnover since they've already got my money, but sub optimal market capture because the experience sucks. They made the halfbaked app years ago and only updated to include the launch monitor (more money).

  • Ian - it is a real pain as the only way to do it and not lose all the data for that clib is look back through each hole on each round until you find it, and then delete or change it. Having said that I once had this and couldn't find, so deleted the club and started again.

  • I have written an post about it and asked for people to support the idea like you proposed and wanted to make it possible to have your own club length data available.

Not a lot of active support from forum member to support it and also nothing from Garmin support.

Only i see asking for it in other threads which makes it difficult for Garmin to gather the interest for it to implement it.

But it proves the interest for it but Garmin support Golf dept. does not look at it or actively let users know their SW update road map.

I think mine, yours and others idea/proposal will not be implemented because i start to feel that this is not something they are going to do after many years of nothing improving or doing something about it.

After many years of using their Golfing products (S60, S62, MARQ Golfer, G8, CT10, True Swing, Z80, Z82) and reading the forum almost none of any good golfers suggestions has been implemented in their outdated looking and performing software ui on these devices.

I am heavily invested in their hardware products purchases but have decided to give up on it in the future when the product reach its [limited] end of life cycle due to the poor Software implementation.

Even the expensive $2000 MARQ Golfer watch has issues and the battery can not be changed as promised in the beginning of the sales marketing release.

The expensive MARQ Golfer can not even use the more accurate Galileo system for the Golf app!

The stupidity of it is the watch can use it for the secondary apps but is not available for the main Golfing App.

The other way around it should be at least.

This is a bad implementation of course and caters for the manty times big distance inaccuracy of several meters when your approach the green (In Europe this is where the Galileo system works very accurate).

i  have written articles for the Garmin MARQ Golfer in a Dutch glossy watch magazine (HORLOGES) and several other short stories about the MARQ Golfer watch to make it stand out and promote it in a positive way. I can not do this anymore since i believe now the MARQ Golfer watch has to many issues to be a good purchase choice, in my opinion.

Here is the link of my proposal and not real interest in forum users support or Garmin Support.

I noticed a lot of Garmin golf users are abandoning their Garmin Golf support an stop buying it and switch to other brands like Shotscope for instance. Myself personally my next golf watch will be no MARQ Golfer new model but the TAG Heur Golf watch or any other new upcoming luxury golf watch to use.

  • you're absolutely right. At one moment, good hardware without software will just become a brick.

  • Any descent company that cares about their customers would have had this fixed a long time ago!!!  Its not that the S62 is a cheap watch !!

  • Bit sad that its been over two years since this was suggested and the function is still missing. On top of this there seem to be  a problem with the Garmin Golf app for Andoid, if I try to edit or delete such a faulty registered shot, the app wont let me save the changes. Instead I have to use Garmin Connect through the browser. Garmin, you got some really nice hardware but during these years that ive used your gear its also been quite frustrating since you launch the products without fixing basic functionalites that would make the products so much better in the first place.

  • I have this same issue where my GW shows going 187yds.  I try to pay attention to these errors along the way - but I still can't find them when I search scorecard by scorecard, hole by hole, shot by shot to find the error.

Can you add an edit feature to find and correct or delete the performance data for a given club?

Maybe easier - (less complete fix) - for every "max" distance - provide a reference to the course/hole/date where the Max distance was acheived.  I think that exists for the driver but needed for all clubs.  Thanks for anything you can do.

  • I have had the same experience and would like to see the ability to a) find out where that max shot came from along with b) the ability to edit the data directly in the club bag, against each club - as requested quite a few times in this thread.

I am new to Garmin but it would seem they are not being very responsive to what is (surely) a must have / out of the box requirement, which is a shame.
