Make it easier to delete/edit shot lengths for each club.

Hi, I would like to see an improvement on how to manually remove misscalculated shots for each club. As of right now you have to manually check through each hole and scorecard and manually delete the shots (or add more shots) to get the correct length if the watch have missed to register a shot after the one you hit with the club.

My suggestion is to improve the "Gear" page, both on Garmin Connect and in the golf app so that you can expand each club and get all shots registered with that club, and from there manually delete shots that you know is miscalculated. So for example currently I have a 300+ yard shot with my 3 Iron which is impossible, but to remove that shot I'll have to manually check through each scorecard and hole to find that particular shot which is a big pain in the ass with the amount of rounds I have played, so If i just could find it directly under the "Gear" tab and remove it from there it would be so much easier.

An improvement ontop of this would be to add a link for each shot in the "Gear" section that would redirect you to the correct scorecard and hole for that particular shot.

  • I sincerely hope that one of the brains of garmin will do an effort to add a manual shot system to adjust the shots

  • Add me to the list who wants access to the individual shot data either online or in the app.  I bought the watch thinking I could do this vs the manual entry method of another app that let me look at every shot sorted by club.  You then can click on an individual shot and it will take you to the hole and round it was shot on!

I'm in the process of auditioning apps now that will let me look at that data and connect with an Apple watch or another specialty watch.  When my S62 dies, or I get tired of this, the replacement won't be a Garmin.

  • Update as of April 24th, 2023: This feature request is still being considered by our development team as customers who are asking for this improvement come in. If there is anyone that would like to be added to this ticket please let me know and I will reach out for additional information.

    Thanks!

  • Hello, Cody. With all due respect, we are not sure that this should only be a consideration - it should have been a default feature. When we have to go back and figure out which day and hole we had a 500yd putt on, with no easy way to do it, this means you have a bad product. I have done computer programming before, it is easy to create data tables that show a user the information they are looking for - an entry level programmer could do this. If something this simple has to be "considered" by the developers, it just goes to show that there may be no interest at all in improving your app. It is like it was released with no intention of making it better.

  • I think just spending a bit of time in these forums tells you how much interest Garmin has in improving golf data.

I've complained or suggested things just like everyone else. No results. I've given up at this point. There are great suggestions going back years and years and almost nothing changes.

If Garmin cared, they don't even need suggestions. Take a look at your competition. Shotscope and Arccos. In reality most silly golf apps do a better job of managing golf data.

I think instead of asking for changes, move on. Lost dollars might give Garmin a kick towards change.

  • add me please     I am very new to the community and equipment and as a mid handicap I would LOVE to be able to remove the duffs and mishits from my club averages so what my device tells me my clubs will average for a good stike.  Right now if I have too many duffs it will shorten the averages say down 10-15 yards and when I take what the s-42 says is my 125 average club and I actually hit it well I am going to fly the green because it is well struck as opposed to the fictional 125 average. To better explain if you only have two strikes recorded and one is 180 and one is 20 well the average of 100 is not helpful. .  We don't need or want the averages affected by our duffs as NO ONE PLANS to hit a duff shot.

  • yes.  this feature would be extremely useful. I have been unsuccessfully searching for a mysterious 500 yard hybrid 4 approach shot that i had at some point for hours.  even something as simple as adding 'on this day' like the longest drive feature has in the performance stats view would be fantastic

  • If only, I have a rogue 300+ yards PW that I cannot find, I only have about 8 rounds recorded but it is simply not available to edit and clean up. As I have so few rounds, I may end up retiring and repairing that club as it's so annoying

  • I would like to be added to this ticket please.

  • Please do that ASAP.

    Thanks
