CT10 for chipping and putting

Hi

Thinking of buying the CT10 starter pack to track my chipping and putting stats.   Does it track chipping and putting distance?  If yes, how does the sensor know the flag position? Would appreciate your comments on this question before purchase.

Thanks,

Rod

  • No, it doesn't record correct pin position even you have moved pin. More information about this

  • Shot Scope should buy Garmin's GPS technology
Shot Scope does have better post game metrics on approaches and automatically detects fairway hits and misses. However I've been plagued with Shot Scope by golf courses not showing when I want to play. and other times it takes a long time to acquire GPS on the shot scope sometimes not until I'm on the second or third hole. Also Garmin shows my current score, not available on shot scope.

I don't get any metrics if Shot Scope cant record my golf game. I am a data lover and this is so frustrating on Shot Scope.

  • If you use 8/9 iron or Hybrid around the green, the yardage of your chip shot will count into the average yardage for that club and there is no way to change it. I use my 8 iron around the green a lot and my yardages are all screwed up and Garmin will not fix this. Customers have been complaining about this for many years. I think I'm going to sell my CT10 system just because of this one issue.

For example my hybrid shows shots from 18 yards to 220 yards. The only way to edit htis is to go into every single round and try and find these small chip shots with those clubs and delete the shot.

  • Not a bad idea... This is frustrating. I think I will switch after using Garmin for 5 years now.
