Multiple issues after update.

R50 won’t read short putts on hth or gspro, r50 showing normal hitting zone instead of putting. 

when r50 goes to standby mode while in gspro, wake or send shot won’t take r50 out of standby mode unless session is ended and r50 restarted. This update has basically made half the normal features of the r50 unusable. Really regretting spending the 5k on this device to not have it work properly and used as it was marketed and designed to. 

anyone found a fix for either of these issues? Or are we just screwed until the devs rewrite the code that they messed up with added features.

    I received the update and putting improved back to its original tho touchy level, still have the standby issue with gspro, now tho it sometimes doesn’t go into standby mode but if it does, still have to end session to get it to work  along with still not being able to send the garmin into purring mode or back to standard shot from the gspro connector.

    So even if you just click "Send to Putting Mode" or "Send to Normal Mode" it still stays in standby?  If mine goes I to that standby, all I do is click whichever of the above and it takes it out of standby.

    For whatever reason it doesn’t register, have to end session and reconnect.

    Man, that blows. I've never had to actually end the session and reconnect for a standby issue. That would def drive me nuts (now watch - it's gonna start happening to me tonight when I play....)

    I didn’t know there was another way to get it out of standby mode. I think someone just told me to end session and go back to connect on the R50. As long as wifi was still connected through the hot spot.

    I need help my r50 will not leave the WiFi connection screen.  My pc is connected to the r50 WiFi but the screen just stats up

    Same issues wifi disconnects constantly

    We are currently investigating reports related to the Approach R50 entering standby during sessions. We believe that a fix is in place for this issue, and it's currently going through internal testing.     Some issues discussed earlier in the thread, such as detection of shorter or softer putts, were addressed in previous updates. In addition, software version 4.90 is currently rolling out. Devices will automatically download updates when connected to Wi-Fi, but you can follow these steps if you'd like to manually check for updates:

    1. Press the Menu button in the lower-right corner of the screen.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Select Software Update.
    4. If an update is available, select Download and Install.

    Ensuring the device is fully updated may resolve certain behaviors that were reported earlier. 

    If you're still experiencing issues after confirming that your device is running the latest software, please create a separate thread describing the specific issue that you're encountering, along with your current software version and setup details. That helps us and the community investigate each concern more effectively.
