Multiple issues after update.

R50 won’t read short putts on hth or gspro, r50 showing normal hitting zone instead of putting. 

when r50 goes to standby mode while in gspro, wake or send shot won’t take r50 out of standby mode unless session is ended and r50 restarted. This update has basically made half the normal features of the r50 unusable. Really regretting spending the 5k on this device to not have it work properly and used as it was marketed and designed to. 

anyone found a fix for either of these issues? Or are we just screwed until the devs rewrite the code that they messed up with added features.

    I have to end session and restart the connector once in standby.

    But yesterday if a ball was in view it never went into standby. We are talking an hour with no action and it just locked in. Day before it went into standby twice after 10 minutes. No rhyme or reason.

    So far HTH is reading putts in on course practice mode. I didn’t try play mode yet.

    Forget about putting in GSPro. Auto putt only I guess.

    Im having all the same issues you are - and its been over a week and they STILL dont have a fix for it???  This is crazy.....

    HTH putting seems fine on my end. 4.1 ball speed equals 10’ for 10 stimp which is correct.

    Forget about chipping and putting in GSPro. It’s a mess and what I dealt with when I first bought the R50 November 2024.

    I’m experiencing the same issue.

    I went as far as buying a separate Wi-Fi adapter so my PC can keep a dedicated connection to the R50 hotspot, while my built in wifi stays on my home network. That did improve overall stability, but I’m still seeing missed putts and occasional dropped shots, even during full rounds.

    I’ve seen suggestions to add a separate webcam-based putting solution for GSPro, but that really defeats the purpose of owning a $5,000 launch monitor. Putting should be reliable using the R50 alone, without needing extra hardware to work around detection issues.

    I’d really like to see Garmin address putting reliability directly, either through firmware improvements or clearer guidance. These missed putts break immersion and make it hard to fully trust the system.

    I received the patch 4.0.3 which made things better but did not solve any of the issues completely.  So misses some putts, still disconnects,  stop this into standby and have to restart to get it out. These issues just don't Bastian quite as often but still need to be fixed. I really like the R50 but if they can't get on top of this,  am will be looking into selling and buying something different.
