Not ready to hit

After hitting several balls with no issues, my unit will no longer go into “ready to place a ball” mode.  It simply refused to see any balls placed in front of it and there is no light (red or green) shown on the lower area of the unit.

If I shut the unit down and restart, it will prompt to return me to where I was in the session and immediately go into ready mode and I can proceed.

This is a new problem that I suspect is related to one of the recent software updates.

Am I supposed to report these problems here or somewhere else?

  • I had that problem when the ball was on a thick mat that was ~2" higher than the R50. Make sure the ball and the unit are at the same level.

  • Thanks for the suggestion.  But, the problem ISN’T that the unit is ready to look for a ball but doesn’t see it.  The problem is the unit gets into a mode where it’s not even looking.  There’s a red light at the bottom of the unit that tells you that “I’m looking for a ball to be placed into the area where I can then turn green to tell you to hit.”  What happens is the that R50, for some reason, after many balls placed and hit without a problem, suddenly stops going into “place the ball” mode.  IOW, the light isn’t red or green - it’s just OFF.

  • I am having the same problem. Everything on the monitor looks ready to go, but there's no light at the bottom at all. Has anyone posted a solution other than turn it off and on (assuming it's on the same level as the ball).

  • I am having the same problem. Everything looks ready to go, but there's no light at the bottom, so it's not looking for a ball.

  • I just had the same issue. Brand new unit purchased 1 week ago. Was working fine and then mid course it wouldn’t find any balls. Lights were off and would look for a ball. I had to restart the unit and then it worked again.

  • Are you using GSPRO? I had this same issue but realized gspro was putting the R50 to sleep and you needed to tab out of GSPRO and look at the LM API Tool and click (Wake Up)
