I have been using the R10 for a couple days now and my distances seems way off. Seems very club is approx 20yards short from the range? Is there anything that needs to be done with calibration?

I'm a new owner couple days. Every club is ridiculously short. On real course I bomb 250 on bad hits....I struggle to get 180yds reading. All the irons seem like they are read like an 8I. Can't get…
Similiar problem for me, been using for a couple of days and all clubs are only recording 2/3 distance, checked the setup with a tape measure and spirit level and still the same problem. I have tried inside…
I want to love this thing had such high hopes and as is has become an enormous let down.
No matter what I do, any club that I hit over 205 yds, will not register a distance commensurate with my actual Driver or 3W teed up or off the deck. (Outdoors cage and all measurements set and no obstacles that seem material to impact the radar)
Well I ordered the R10 today :) Should be coming in 2 days! Hopefully i dont run into this
Bought the R10 a few weeks ago. Use it outdoors with a net and small hitting mat. Have spent more time trying to level and align the R10 plus make sure nothing is interfering with it instead of hitting balls. It is reading short for me also in comparison to reality. About one club length in general. Especially Hometee hero. With no ability to adjust the ground roll out the game doesn't give you anything close to realistic, especially if your ball hits the rough. More than that though, hometee the ball just never seems to carry as far. Im watching for elevation, but even on really far downhill shots on my local course i have to club up often just to make it there. I have 155-162 ball speed and carry 260-275 with the R10, totals around 280-295 on good shots. On my local course with the ground as it is now im rolling out over 300 pretty easily (when i hit it well).
Hometee Hero needs ground roll out and rough thickness adjustments
Does anyone have experience with greater ball speeds, like 175mph+? Can the R10 pick up such high ball speeds? Im concerned it gets more inaccurate with higher ball speeds?
Has anyone found a way to get some more distance with the R10? Im still waiting on an alignment tool, does raising the height of the R10 help? Tilting it forward so it reads higher trajectory?
Home Tee Hero is notoriously short. On GSPro my yardages a very close so I think it's the Garmin software.
Just received my R10 as well… followed the ‘Tips for Indoor or Outdoor Approach R10 Placement’ https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=b16KkS9ljZ1BRQGvWB6bX7, increased the placement height of the R10 by 25-50mm, increased the distances; ball - net 10ft and R10 - ball 8ft, used a laser for alignment, leveled the plateau the R10 stands on, calibrated the R10 for every session, but all without avail; distances between my outdoor setup and the driving range still differ by 15-20 yards.
My final hope is to get better results with Awesome Golf Simulator, using their 14 day trial (https://www.awesome-golf.com/home/) but I’ve read that not everybody is getting more accurate results.
Are there any alternative apps that I can experiment with? Preferably ones that offer a free trial. It has been 3 months ago that Garmin released the 4.00 System software and 1 month ago the 2.6.1 Garmin Golf app was released. Does anybody has any insights in the roadmap for the upcoming releases of both pieces of software?
Garmin software isn't very accurate. I use GSPro and yardage is real close.
E6 has a parameter for setting the elevation which affects distances. You can experiment with elevations changes until you feel like the numbers are aligned to your expectations. I adjusted mine as high as 5000-6000 and my numbers are much better.
Yeah.
elevation at 5000 on e6 connect seems to work well for me too.
Initial testing with 7 iron into an outdoor net (11 feet ball to net / 6 feet ball to R10) is showing an improved average club head speed of 5 mph with corresponding distances. I’ll continue to test and will report back.
I’ve also noticed that the R10 will typically show improvements after firmware updates then will suddenly revert back to lower distances after a few days.
Well.
Compared it with one of my shots on range.
Hitting a 6 iron with 81 mph club head, and 103 ball speed.
Carry distance 133 meters (approx 147 yards).
Your number is not that much off from what I can see.
Backspin on Your shot higher, and with 1 mph less ball speed I would say it's exactly what should be expected.
