I have been using the R10 for a couple days now and my distances seems way off. Seems very club is approx 20yards short from the range? Is there anything that needs to be done with calibration?

I'm a new owner couple days. Every club is ridiculously short. On real course I bomb 250 on bad hits....I struggle to get 180yds reading. All the irons seem like they are read like an 8I. Can't get…
Similiar problem for me, been using for a couple of days and all clubs are only recording 2/3 distance, checked the setup with a tape measure and spirit level and still the same problem. I have tried inside…
I want to love this thing had such high hopes and as is has become an enormous let down.
Cannot pull up the calibration mode on iPhone and iPad both and all software has been updated. My yardage is off 15-20 yds. per club with the irons. I have moved the device forward, back, and did all the measurements on distance again. I have only used the device indoors.......
No concrete for me it outdoor backyard wide open no interference try hitting on a mat on grass no difference, at the driving range distance is good off by +- 1-3yd.
The R10 is not meant to be use on the net, Garmin need to do more testing or at least let user adjust their yardage.
I'm playing outside on my tar driveway. I have a 4'x5' mat that I hit off of. There's several feet to the dirt that the net rests on then several more feet to the net (total tee to net distance 9').
I'm one of the few that's generally happy with the results, though it is about a club short. I've been using it to practice using HTH on my frequently played courses and the simulation is very good. But maybe I like it because most of my sim rounds scored 70-78, much better than I play on course, LOL.
Have mine on tarmac with rubber panels as a base. Hit over 500 balls yesterday two went over 200yards. Hitting in to a net with this device does not work. 40 yards down on my on course yardage. Tracked by Garmin watch and c10 units. Such a shame as I had hoped for great things with this device. Mevo + is my next target once I return the Garmin
Are any of you able to try putting a screen over your nets. Like a large old duvet cover? I was using a net originally but I'm using a white impact screen now and my numbers have been a lot better recently.

That's an interesting question. I use a Sprna practice net setup that has a built in solid fabric that hangs and catches the balls. I could easily remove that so I'm hitting into a net only and hit a few balls to compare reported distances. Maybe the radar is confused by certain backgrounds that it "sees" through the net?
I have tried both options and it made no difference
@Garmin-Rob I’ve been pretty critical of the recent update (3.7) but at the range today, and after reading a few posts, I increased the distance from the tee to 220cm and have to say shot shape, distance and attack angle all seemed to be relatively accurate. Unit was levelled (using a levelling plate and laser pointer).
Finally had time to update to the 3.70 Firmware.
Shot shape appears to be better. Distances are much more consistent with a slight increase in distance. Still short from real life, but Garmin’s distances are close to Trackman charts found online so I’m not too worried.
