I have been using the R10 for a couple days now and my distances seems way off. Seems very club is approx 20yards short from the range? Is there anything that needs to be done with calibration?

I'm a new owner couple days. Every club is ridiculously short. On real course I bomb 250 on bad hits....I struggle to get 180yds reading. All the irons seem like they are read like an 8I. Can't get…
Similiar problem for me, been using for a couple of days and all clubs are only recording 2/3 distance, checked the setup with a tape measure and spirit level and still the same problem. I have tried inside…
I want to love this thing had such high hopes and as is has become an enormous let down.
E6 gets the same data as the other Garmin apps so wont be any different
I got my unit here in Australia 2 days ago. Indoors is reading short, took it to the range today and distances were spot on and shot shape was 90% accurate to ball flight in real life.
Please let me know how your next indoor session goes?
I suffered short distances into a home net, but after a trip to the range the next home session was accurate.
I have a theory that after a session on a range with no limitation to ball flight the R10 configures itself better...
I would prefer Garmin to confirm if the shot data calculation is fixed or does the unit self calibrate over time. Given the unit doesn't have a clue if its indoors or outdoors then I assume its fixed. Its almost needs a manual override so you get it stats correct- but you'd need a loan professional launch monitor to correct it.
I'm going to test indoors and outdoors over the next few days and then work out if its worth returning. Indoors is essential, I just don't want to pay Skytrak money.
Have just been out into the garage to try it out. The distances were better after a range session. Still a bit short but maybe only 5m maybe 10 at times and only from 6 iron down as opposed to 20m I was getting short yesterday. 7 iron through to wedges were accurate indoors. I find it harder to judge hitting off a mat as it really doesn’t give you a true picture of how clean you are hitting them.
I’m much more positive after today sessions with it though.
Glad you're getting better results - in general I tend to be a bit faster hitting off turf with my golf shoes on and bring able to create a little more ground force so I'm a few mph down on club head speed and therefore distance at home or on driving range mats is always a little lower.
Had mine since early August...I've loaned it to a couple friends now that are way better golfers than me all stated the same things.
I've levelled it, aligned it, covered concrete, used it in doors, out doors, we took it to range.
Friends used in their nets, all same issues.
A pal of mine that has my R10 right now has his pre-order out for delivery today and he's confident my unit is garbage and I should ask for a replacement (I tried Garmin gave me all the links to how to hit properly in the garage and didnt replace it) but my prediction is that he will send me a message that his R10 behaves exactly as mine.
I'm asking him for a side-by-side comparison of the two.
That sucks, can't believe they're not offering at least a replacement if not a refund. Come on Garmin, step up.
Please give updates when you know more. My biggest issue is with my driver. The numbers are around 60-70 yards short l.
i had the exact same experience...
