I have been using the R10 for a couple days now and my distances seems way off. Seems very club is approx 20yards short from the range? Is there anything that needs to be done with calibration?

I'm a new owner couple days. Every club is ridiculously short. On real course I bomb 250 on bad hits....I struggle to get 180yds reading. All the irons seem like they are read like an 8I. Can't get…
Similiar problem for me, been using for a couple of days and all clubs are only recording 2/3 distance, checked the setup with a tape measure and spirit level and still the same problem. I have tried inside…
I want to love this thing had such high hopes and as is has become an enormous let down.
After testing the new firmware I still feel as if its short into the net by about 20%. Im going to vote for a net offset option rather than trying to make a one for all solution. But on the range it seems to be working good. Once again, range balls are limited flight. I am using the floaters and they seem like they squish like pancakes and a certain club speed. Otherwise, its been such a great tool for me to learn how to shallow the club and what happens with the different club face and path configurations. I feel like I am making major progress while using full power thanks to the r10. I will attach a couple screen to help prove the squishy range ball theory. I did not hit the 152mph swing clean like the slower one though. Still noticing range ball speed topping out in the high 140's low 150's.
Is this your first time hitting into a net? I'm convinced I'm hitting differently as it's my first time off a mat in my garage. Like you I have good numbers outside at the range bur felt short initially indoors. I'm working on getting more comfortable off the mat and my numbers are getting better
No I hit into a net on the the previous firmware. All the readings look shorter than the range on both versions of firmware. One place I didn't try is an indoor golf practice area where the net is 20 feet away. I can barely get the net 6-7 feet away and prefer to have the start of the net at about 5 feet. This is the net I'm using. Oh well there's the problem. Manual specifies you need at least 8 ft ball to net
doesn't matter, I am getting the same kind of inaccurate readings at the driving range
Update: My replacement unit is expected to arrive later today. Will do a quick comparison and post results shortly...
Mine is as well, I will do the same. Please post photos of your setup if possible. I am going to try the net at 8 and 12 feet.
UPDATE - I got a replacement unit through Roger Dunn shops (where I purchased my original one). They had it shipped from their supply warehouse, so I believe it's not part of the new batch of units Garmin said that didn't have the hardware issues associated with poor accuracy. I used it as it showed up, I did not update the firmware to 3.30... and the distances were much better with at least 5% of them being way off (instead of 30-40% as before). This was at a driving range where I could see the flight of the ball and use field markers and my range finder to gauge the distance. The range was not crowded.
However, the issue of not recording shots was still there, it still missed around 60% of what I hit. I did notice that once a golfer got into the hitting bay next to me, the missed reads increased. He was in a hurry and hit shot after shot with very little pauses... so I am wonder if the Garmin is getting confused as to which balls to not track. I will go again today to see what I can record.
Yep I am waiting for my replacement unit to show up. Looks like the received it the other day. I hope the newer units work better. I can live with missed shots, I just can not handle the distance and launches to be so bad. It was making the opti shot actually look good
