VA3M battery charge lasts half as long with firmware 4.9

I downgraded to firmware 3.80 (which I found in the 3.84 beta .zip) on my Vivoactive 3 Music (it wasn't easy, I had to fill up its disk, twice, to prevent it from re-upgrading), and have verified that the battery usage goes back to what it was before the update to firmware 4.9.  It lasts 4 days with a connect IQ background watchface running on the older firmwares, and only 2 days with the 4.9 firmware with the same watchface running (which reads data from a website every 5 minutes).

I know its not necessarily connect IQ related but it could be related to my watchface's use of the background API, and is definitely firmware related so thought i should report it here (there are many similar reports throughout the non-connect iq forums for VA3 watches with 6.9 firmware, so it likely has the same issue).
