Unable to upload a new watch face - Sorry, this page is currently unavailable.

Hello,

I am facing difficulty in uploading a new watch face to the Connect IQ store.

I previously have uploaded a free watch face, "Cube Works" successfully and went through the entire review process. It is now live on the store.

This time I created a paid watch face with Kiezel Pay and the following occurs:

  1. I uploaded the .iq package, it shows all green with verified tags
  2. I enter description, add images, select all relevant options, click submit. After a couple of seconds the "page is not currently unavailable" message appears
  3. Repeated this process multiple times over the last 24 hours, but the same occurs.
  4. My system is a Mac OS version 12.1, VS code, watch face built for min API 3.2.0
  5. Just for additional information, the clock face contains animation, is built for only the AMOLED display devices, and tested well on all the devices in the simulator

I have seen similar bug reports but not how they were resolved or how I can check what is going wrong.

  • Figured out the issue. I was trying to upload the hero image as a gif (which as per instructions specified, can be a gif upto 2MB, mine was just 1.5 MB).

Once I removed that gif, the submission of the watch face went through.

It would have been great if Garmin would have just displayed an error message saying that the gif or its size was the issue instead of getting a "page is currently not available" message which is quite misleading!
