Unable to complete Connect IQ SDK Manager account creation / login

As indicated in the title.

I downloaded the SDK and started the SDK Manager.  The first window popped up indicating a need to login to my developer account.  Pressed "Login", second window popped up a "Sign In" window with a "Create One" link.  Selected Create One, entered the info and selected Create Account.  Window goes to a single spinning gear...forever.  Start over, says account exists.  Try to login, now back to spinning gear.  Login never completes.

Any help?

Note this is on Windows 10.

Another note - retrying login with a bad password brings up an error box.  But login with correct info still doesn't complete.

  • And yet another update...

I played around with a variety of stuff.  Then decided to try copying the \users\...\local\sdkmanager directory from my laptop to my desktop.  That seems to have avoided the problem as I was then able to login to sdkmanager and download the 6.2.2 SDK and the various devices.

I'll probably run into glitches as a result of copying the hierarchy...but it does get the watch face example to build and run...

  • Another update...

I tried downloading and running on a different system - an older laptop I had lying around.  This worked.

But still doesn't work on the system I'd be using for development.  I have no idea which of the many differences between the two systems might be related to the problem.  Both systems are running Windows 10 Pro.  Main system is Version 21H2, build 19044.2846 running on an Intel i7-11700k.  Laptop is on older version 20H2, build 19042.928 running on an Intel i7-1051OU.

  • Well...I don't want to be saying it...and I'm sure you don't want to be hearing it...BUT...

I first tried the auto-update.  It updated both SDK Manager and the DLL.  But left me with the same spinning gear.

So I started over - downloaded the package zip and tried again.  Same spinning gear.

The zip I downloaded had sdkmanager.exe modified at 1:56 pm on 08/17 and WebView2Loader.dll modified at 1:50 pm, also on 08/17.

  • Okay, for real this time—we have SDK Manager version 1.0.8 that was deployed this afternoon which fully addresses the login issues. Apologies again for the trouble and for the delay! We ran into a couple of other minor issues along the way that needed some additional work and extra testing.

  • I've got an update on this. The issue is because we're building with a 32-bit dll instead of a 64-bit dll. We'll have another build out today or tomorrow to address this. apologies for the trouble!
