Software Issue: Garmin Fenix 6 Pro 'MARQ Driver NextGen MB' Watch Face Freezes

I am writing to report an issue with the software on my Garmin Fenix 6 Pro watch. Specifically, I have installed the "MARQ Driver NextGen MB" watch face (by Manuel B. https://forums.garmin.com/members/c1177e0e5e34451dab516f7db5d752af)  and am experiencing an unpleasant problem.

I have the "Clear Mode" power saving mode enabled, and when I lower my arm, only the watch hands remain on the screen. In most cases, the watch face returns to normal when I raise my arm to view it. However, there is a problem when the activity tracking feature is enabled. If the watch is in sleep mode and a "Move" notification with a red arrow appears at the top of the screen, the watch face "freezes" and does not automatically exit from sleep mode. I have to manually press a button (up, down, or menu) to wake it up. Furthermore, after waking it up, the second hand no longer appears.

Now, I have to walk and "reset" the inactivity timer. Once the "Move bar cleared" message appears on the sleep screen, the watch face freezes again, and I have to manually activate it by pressing a buttons.

Is there a solution to this issue? It is very inconvenient and frustrating.

  • What software version are you currently seeing this issue on? Did you have the watch face on the device prior to the software version you were noticing these issues? If so, do you remember what software version that was as well?

    Thanks
