Environment: macOS 27.0.1 (26A434), Apple Silicon, Connect IQ SDK 9.2.0 (2026-06-09, 92a1605b2), installed via SDK Manager and Homebrew cask.
Problem: After upgrading from macOS 15 to macOS 27, the simulator no longer starts. Running ConnectIQ.app/Contents/MacOS/simulator prints:
sandbox_extension_issue_file_to_process failed for …/bin/ConnectIQ.app: 1 (Operation not permitted) and exits with code 255. No window opens and no crash report is written. open -a ConnectIQ.app also exits immediately, and monkeydo reports "Unable to connect to simulator."
Tried: reinstalling the SDK (SDK Manager and brew reinstall --cask connectiq), running a copy from another folder, enabling Developer Tools for the terminal. Gatekeeper accepts the app (Notarized Developer ID). It worked on macOS 15 with the same SDK.
Possibly related: the same sandbox-extension denial on macOS 27 is reported for Firefox: microsoft/playwright#42082.
