SDK 6.4.x the new VSC manifest editor corrupts manifest file and leads to build crashes

The new manifest editor of SDS 4.6.x removes automatically the ComplicationPublisher permission when you open the manifest.xml.

In case of a widget this corrupts the complication publisher functionality of the widget and the build fails du to not valid code dependencies.

Is there a way to disable the manifest editor in VSC?

You can change the default editor for XML files to the text editor.

- Open manifest.xml

- Right-click on editor tab

- Select "Reopen Editor With..."

- Select 'Configure default editor for "*.xml"'

- Select "Text Editor"

In my experience the manifest file won't be rewritten if you avoid the manifest editor, but I'm not sure if others have had a different experience.

This has been reported a few times in the past.

In VSC, if you go to the extensions in VSC, click on the gear for Monkey C, you get a menu, with one option being install a different version. I'm back to 1.0.9.
