This has been fixed in the latest release of Garmin Connect Mobile.

Question marks in inscriptions when setting up watch faces in Garmin Connect

Instead of text, question marks are displayed in the inscriptions in Russian when setting up watch faces in Garmin Connect (Android 4.30).

When using Garmin Connect IQ (Android latest version), the text of the settings is correctly displayed in Russian.

The text of the settings in English in both APPs is displayed without problems.

  • Garmin does care about this bug, but support/customer service may not fully understand the nature of the problem. :) In fact, we have engineering teams looking into this right now. From what we can tell, the problem occurs in some clients (e.g. Garmin Connect Mobile) and does not appear to be a problem with Connect IQ apps. We've had similar reports about Garmin Express, but the problem does not appear in the Connect IQ mobile app.

    We'll update here when we know more!
