Jet Lag time difference display on a Epix watch is incorrect

When reviewing the Jet Log Trip Information - My watch showed a 2 hour difference between Aruba and Olathe, KS.
While the (2) locations are technically (2) Time Zones apart, the software failed to recognize that Aruba doesn't utilize Day Light Savings and thus there is only a 1 hour difference between the (2) location.

Just think one needs to add the Day Light Savings check when doing the UTC time difference check.

    Okay, I see—this is the built-in jet lag adviser on the product (which I wasn't familiar with until), not a Connect IQ app. I apologize for the confusion! I'll report this to the product team for them to investigate.

    When in Aruba

    This is what my watch displayed when I was in Aruba.
    It stated that the time difference was 2h - which is incorrect.
    Aruba doesn't have daylight savings time.
    Olathe does.
    Daylight savings need to be considered when calculating the time difference between time zones.
    Also, the date needs to be considered in order to determine if Daylight Savings is utilized or not.

    On the surface, it looks like the code is just doing utc-4 - utc-6 to determine the offset.

    I hope this makes sense.

    Just want to confirm—this sounds like more of a suggestion for good practice than a bug. Is that correct? Our System APIs provide both the UTC time zone offset and dst offset, and I agree it's a good idea to check both. If you're doing that and you're still not getting the right time in this case, then we can investigate.

    I also have problems with daylight saving time. I happened to run late night just a few days after changing to summer time and i noticed that different screens of the Garmin Connect app display the same activity on different days. The activity according to the summer time, local time was between 23:10-23-55, but in at least one screen it's displayed as if it was on the next day (aka after midnight)

    I tried to report it, but IMHO the guy i chatted with didn't understand at all what's the problem Disappointed
