Invite others to App Beta testing

The Garmin Connect IQ dev ecosystem really needs an easy way of including other users in the beta testing of an app.

Distributing .iq files via email or cloud is a real hassle via updates etc. Plus it don't test the full package.

So Garmin, please (re)consider making an [Invite] function on the Developer Dashboard. Would fit nicely "Manage You App" section on a Beta app. You can limit it to 5 or 10 users, if you see a need to do so.

  • Bubbling up is only the beginning. See my feature requests in the 1st page... Even if they decide to do it it can take some time. But good news: body battery was added to the SDK after less than a year if I remember correctly. Ok... It was announced, and another half a year later it started to be pushed to real devices.

The problem with this feature requests is that it's not really CIQ related. And we all report all kinds of bugs / feature requests here that are related to an average developer's life (i think partially because we don't really have any better place for them) and this place is clearly regarded a place for these reports by some developers, but i don't know how seriously these things are considered by Garmin. Or if they are even relayed to the relevant teams.

Let's hope this one gets their attention!
