There are reports that GPS is enabled in Connect IQ apps when recording activities, even if GPS is not used by the app. It appears to only affect vivoactive 4 and Venu. See the original report here:
This isn't strictly a Connect IQ bug since it must be addressed in device firmware, but it can and has impacted the users of certain Connect IQ apps, causing higher than expected battery drain during app use. If your app may be affected, keep an eye on this for updates.
