Gesture does not invoke onExitSleep() if backlight on gesture is not enabled in the display settings

This has been observed on numerous devices for at least 5 years.

Can be reproduced easily with any Garmin's analog face - the second hand will not show on gesture.

    Thank you for sharing the link! Reading through it I get the impression that it was replied by Garmin people who are not involved with Connect IQ. There is only the talk about 'High Power Mode', and I think they reply from that perspective. I could not find any reference to onExitSleep() anywhere in the discussion. I think maybe we should try to raise it again, specifically focusing on this function not being called. Can you please help to upvote this bug here?
