Gateway Timeout Error When Trying to Register App on Garmin Developer Portal

Hello Garmin Community,

I am currently encountering a Gateway Timeout (Error 504) issue while attempting to register my app on the Garmin Developer Portal. This error occurs during the final submission stage where I am supposed to receive the API keys needed for local testing using the Training API.

Here’s a brief overview of my issue:

  • I fill in all the required information in the app creation form, including the OAuth redirect URL in localhost, app description, and other necessary details.
  • However, when I try to submit the form to finalize the app registration, I consistently encounter a Gateway Timeout error. This prevents me from completing the registration and receiving the API keys.

I have checked my internet connection, which is stable, and tried to clear the browser cache and cookies. I also attempted to access the portal using different browsers and even different devices, but the issue persists.

Does anyone have experience with this issue, or can someone from the Garmin support team advise on how to proceed? Any suggestions on how to successfully complete the registration would be greatly appreciated.
