Garmin Express resets DF App settings to default

I received a user complaint, that my DF App settings are reset whenever Garmin Express is connected to a fr255 device on a Windows 11 PC.

I tried on my own PC, using my own Epix gen 2. First with an old version of Express that I had installed (7.17.3.0) where it worked just fine and then on the latest (7.22.1.0) where it indeed reset my App settings every time I open on Garmin Express, connect and open settings for the DF App.  

Please fix! 

  • I checked this on my own fr255. Yes, the settings are reset by Garmin Express - if you save. If you change a setting using a phone app, then look at it with Garmin Express, the default value is shown not the one you've just entered. If you don't save it remains at the new value but if you do save the default value is applied.

    I then checked on a couple of my own data fields.
    Rolling Average Pace (https://apps.garmin.com/apps/28fdec7f-3807-4d24-b85a-4c86b40501f4) seems to work OK.
    OS Grid Reference DF (https://apps.garmin.com/apps/3b19825b-2021-44e2-81f7-62c87877a456) shows the same problem, Garmin Express saves the default settings, not what you've just entered. This happens on both my Forerunner 255 and my old vivoactive HR.

    I'm also using Garmin Express 7.22.1.0
