I have a user reporting the inability to connect to a Moxy Sensor via the MO2 ANT+ profile in a connect IQ datafield on a 935
It has long been an issue that Garmin devices that support native MO2 sensor connections (e.g. 735 and 935 and maybe a couple of others) will not connect to a sensor in a generic ANT channel in a CIQ data field if the sensor is listed in the native sensors paired sensor list. It will work in CIQ once the sensor is removed from the list. This causes lots of confusion but at least the fix is easy.
However in this case, the 935 user is reporting that the 935 is automatically detecting the Moxy sensor (without her doing a search) and prompting the user to connect natively. It seems that even if the user declines to connect natively, it still doesn't connect in the ConnectIQ datafield. Sometimes, CIQ connects before the auto search pops up and then it seems to work.
Can this automatic searching for ANT+ sensors be disabled on the 935? Is there some other work around?
Longer term, is there a fix planned for native connections preventing ConnectIQ connections?
