Hi. I work in the payments industry and there is a lot of development happening now in the Point of sales space, where value added services can be created with the use of the mobile phone NFC capabilities and the fact most payment terminals are NFC capable. Android has had their NFC available for third party apps a long time and Apple is now following track (after recent legislation). It would be great if we could use the NFC chip on the Garmin devices to innovate value added services on top of Garmin pay. I’m not saying we should open up Garmin pay to third party apps, but rather enable those apps to use the NFC. That’s all.
