Extremely slow build times with the latest Java (jre 8 update 261)

Hi,

with the latest java version i get extremely slow build times. All builds and exports are affected.

Java version: jre 8 update 261 x64 windows

I returned to the previous version of java (update 251) and everything works fine.

Do you have the same troubles?

    Updated to the latest SDK 3.2.2 and latest Eclipse 2020-06 with JRE8_261 and it was taking a minute or more to build a watchface or watch app.

    Finally got round to changing Java back to JRE8_241 and suddenly all my builds are just a few seconds again! Much nicer experience all around as I can actually make a change and run it immediately again Slight smile

    Cool, thanks for the update.

    I've been noticing even normal builds taking longer - one of my apps suddenly jumped to taking more than 60 seconds to compile. Then doing an export which contains 90 PRGs ... well you can work out how long that takes now!

    I was able to reproduce the issue, but only when exporting (IQ file creation). The time it was taking to export was anywhere from 2.5 times or more, than when exporting the same app under 241. Build times were equal when creating PRG files.

    I've been using Eclipse 2020-06 and JRE 8 builds 241 and 261. 

    So I will be handing the ticket over to the engineering team to have a look.

    No problems with the following setup:

    - Eclipse 2020-09 latest

    - Java 14.0.2 (you need a free Oracle account)

    I noticed things were really slow when building a .iq with 261, and went back to 241, but have the 06-2020 Eclipse now, so I may try with that and 261.
