Edge 840 temperature sensor value is always null in connect IQ data field

SDK version: both 6.3.0 and 6.2.2

Device SW ver: 18.23

I tried to display device internal temperature sensor reading, but it always displays 'null'.

I used Toybox.Sensor.getInfo().temperature on a function which is called by onTemporalEvent.
 
I've read several threads about getting the edge internal device temperature, but the methods mentioned from those threads don't work on my real Edge 840 device.
Is this an intended behavior? Any 'recent' way for Edge x40 series to access internal device temperature value from Connect IQ data field?
