Contact Developer User Feedback ReplyTo Address Missing

I know this is probably not the correct forum however I am not sure where it belongs. 

Have there been recent changes to the Garmin App store ? The two messages received in the past 2 days from users via the Contact Developer link do not have a reply to address. It is now impossible to reply to users who send a query to the developer ?

  • I don't think it has always been optional, wasn't this implemented the way it is because of GDPR regulation?

  • As   said, it's always been optional, so nothing has changed.  But I have noticed that in the last week or so, I've gotten more "contact developer" messages without an email than I usually get in months.  And I think I know why..

    In the new Connect IQ App that just came out, when you do a "contact developer", there's no option to include a "reply to" email address.  That to me is a bug in the Connect Store App.

  • Thanks Travis. In the 3 years I have been active in the app store I have never had a Contact Developer message without a reply address. I believe if a user wants to contact the developer rather than leave a review we should get an address to reply to. To suddenly have 2 messages without a reply to address seemed strange. Maybe they changed the default behavior so that the user has to provide the address ? If there is discussion on the topic then I would vote for the fact that you have to have a reply to address if you want to contact the developer. Both my recent messages were requests for help and now I have no way of contacting them.

  • The e-mail address field on the Contact Developer page is optional, and I'm nearly certain that it has always been that way. If the user doesn't provide an e-mail, then they probably don't want you to contact them.

    I believe there has been some recent discussion about requiring contact information, but I'm not sure what the outcome was.
