Connect IQ Settings don't match installed app version

For some reason the App Settings displayed is not that of the corresponding installed App version

And the App version installed does not correspond to the App version displayed by Connect IQ [which already is not the latest]

Running the update may install an even older version, which is the opposite of update, but it generally fails to do anything useful.

Will there be an update where the Connect IQ installs the latest version, if you uninstall the current version, or upgrades to the latest, via update, if there is a newer version?

It should be noted that everything installs and works / matches correctly on the simulator but fails to do so on the watch because Connect IQ is not working properly.

  • Hi,

App was uploaded via apps.garmin.com to the store only and installed on the watch via Connect IQ.

Connect IQ sees a version [not the latest] and installs some version [not necessarily the one it is reporting as being seen].

Clicking on Settings in Connect IQ can bring up some older version of settings that don't correspond [because they are from another previous version of the app].

Version control is installed in the app so it's possible to see which real version gets installed both on the watch and in the settings.

In short, it's a total mess when working with a private link in the store - though everything in the Simulator is working.

Who does one report this to? Will anyone look into it? Is this the correct place to report it?

It seems like the settings is a different app [companion] and there is no synchronization between the watch app and settings part at times. Though it is not always like this. Given enough attempts it is sometimes possible to get them syncronized on a version, not necessarily the latest.
