Connect IQ SDK Ver 4.1.5 Venu Sq and Venu Sq Music simulator screen artifact

In the Connect IQ SDK Ver 4.1.5 Venu Sq and Venu Sq Music simulator, a blue vertical bar about 8-10 pixels wide appears on the left and right sides of the screen. Drawing to those areas seems to be blocked.

If you create a default datafield project and execute it, you will see this problem.

For data fields, the sim is the same as the real device. There's 10pixels for a scroll bar on one side and the same is taken off the other size so the dc stays centered on the screen.
