CIQ Simulator 6.4.1 and Mac Sonoma 14.1.2 (23B92)

I started the day with an update from Apple Sonoma 14.1.2 (23B92) and now the CIQ Simulation is non responsive.    Typical Monday, lol.

The Simulation opens and I can press any simulation button once.  After pressing the Simulator, it is non-responsive and eventually get the apple spin wheel.

Using connectiq-sdk-mac-6.4.1-2023-11-27-6cafd260d

I cleared the Garmin temp\cache, but did not help.

I tried 6.4.0 and did not help.

  • I am not 100% sure of how tied the simulator is to the SDK used but if you aren't using anything specific to 6.4.x then you can do what I do and simply copy the "ConnectIQ.app" folder from the last working SDK into the "bin" folder of the current SDK. In my case, I am compiling and running using SDK 6.4.1 but running the simulator from SDK 6.2.2.

    • Hoping to get resolve or a workaround.  I am stuck without the simulator.
  • I am running MacOS 14.1.2 also but didn't notice this quite like that. I am able to press any buttons I like up (including the START button to select menu items) as many times as I like until the point that I "start" the activity. When I do that, something in that flow (I'm guessing the call to the Session.start() function) causes the simulator to hang. That said, I didn't experiment much as I only tried SDK 6.4.1 long enough to check if the issue with position was fixed (it's NOT).
