Bug Report: Crash with Connect IQ Mobile SDK for iOS

My iOS app (GiBLI) crashed on a user while communicating over bluetooth with a Garmin Edge 540 running my Connect IQ app (GiBLI Remote) using the Connect IQ Mobile SDK.  

Steps to reproduce:

I believe based on the stack trace it was the transmit method being called from the CIQ app but i'm not sure exactly what the parameters were or the steps leading up to the crash

Expected Behaviour

 the SDK should catch the exception and call and the onError method of the Toybox.Communications.ConnectionListener should be called instead. 

Actual Behaviour

there was a crash and because of how the SDK works it's not possible for the app to catch it.
