Bug report - WF onExitSleep() never gets called on gesture.

Hi.

In watch faces onExitSleep() lifecycle method is never called on Vivoactive 4 and Venu devices after user taps the screen and the screen turns on. I have read and verified a work-around that double-clicking back button on VA4 turns on screen and does call onExitSleep().

Please let me know if this is a duplicate ticket or if you need more info.

  • Thanks, Richard. You're absolutely correct. I've been using low power / high power to test onEnterSleep/onExitSleep methods. Now that I tried sleep mode in the sim - it does nothing.

Thank you for looking into this!

  • Hey, an internal ticket has been made and is being looked into. Based on some quick testing I'm seeing some similar behavior. Even in the simulator if you turn on and off sleep it doesn't trigger the onExitSleep function. It seems to only respond to a change from low power to high power modes.
