Although the Yoga function in Yoga+ app has been fixed (thank you very much), the Pilates function used for barre in Yoga+ app is still not fixed. The GPS function is still turned on! Please do fix it.
I’m the one who reported the issue to Brian as I started using his Yoga+ app today. I purchased Forerunner 55 end of April 2023 which was on display in a Garmin shop in Singapore. As such, Garmin seems to have every intention to continue selling this model. Please fix the bug as it really drains the battery for activities that do not require the GPS to be enabled! The whole point of me being drawn to Forerunner 55 was that it has a long battery life. However with this bug, it drained my watch’s battery by 30 percent after approximately two hours of barre and yoga tracking.
This FR55 GPS issue is still occurring after nearly 9 months. The Forerunner 55 is still being sold on the Garmin site and should be maintained. Please put some engineering resources on the FR55 product software repair. This issue affects the ForeRunner 255 & 265 models as well.
