bug: can't save the description in the app store

I wanted to change the description of https://apps.garmin.com/apps/7c83d402-4b68-4f0a-b167-7139788a19b3 and I couldn't save it. Even when I don't change anything, just click Edit Details and then the Submit button I get the following error message:

"Sorry, your message couldn’t be submitted because we’re having trouble communicating with our servers. Please try again later."

I was able to do the same for other apps, so my guess is that it's something to do with special characters in the description. But obviously this is a step back, as I was able to save the current description earlier.

PS: Maybe you could add something like "Developer Dashboard" or "App Store" as category.

  • The CIQ store team is aware of the general error message. At least in regards to there being an issue with the IQ file. I'll check to see if that includes other items such as app description and fields.

    Years ago one of the CIQ team members mentioned that markdown support is on the wishlist. I have a feeling that's where it's gonna stay.

  • A clear error message would be the first thing that should be fixed, there's Noone that is helped by this crazy general error message that doesn't say anything...

    Secondly it's also crazy that more and more special characters are being banned, it's the only thing we have to beautify the description 

    Lastly they should in fact do the reverse and add special codes so we can bold text etc...
