BLE not working in simulator after updating to SDK9.2

I'm trying to simulate one data field that uses BLE to connect with sensors. It was working fine until I have updated to SDK9.2

Now, it seems dongle is not available for the simulator. Going back to SDK9.1 still works fine.

Tested in macOS Monterrey

Release notes mention two changes related to BLE. They may have some relation.  

New Features

  • Add bonded connection support in the simulator.

Bug Fixes

  • Fix issue where the simulator crashed when launching a BLE app when the dongle was not connected.

Anyone can try to reproduce this and confirm?

    Run with the 9.1 SDK, shut down the sim, use the SDK manager and make 9.2 the current SDK, and run again and you'll be using the 9.2 sim.   I have a nordic DK running the latest hex file, and a dongle with the pre-9.2 hex file so I change the com port used for BLE when I switch SDKs.  It seems 9.2 doesn't allow picking an open connection for BLE, but if you've set that with 9.1, 9.2 will use it..

    hopefully this does not mean, that with SDK 9.2+ Garmin won't allow "open" BLE connections at all. Becaue many sensors do not support bonding. There is no real "open" in BLE, because connections are always encyrpted with BLE. But keys are not persisent without bonding. What means that man in the middle attacks are possible. I doubt this would be important for a huge number of e.g. bicycle sensors, but maybe this is due to new EU-regulations ("RED directive").
