Better app settings

If you design a highly customisable app/watchface it's impossible to create good structured settings UI. A Dynamic UI would be great but I think following would already be a good improvement:

  • support headers
  • support groups that will open a sub settings view
  • support icons

So you can at least structure the settings a little bit which makes them a lot easier to use..

E.g. my watchface has up to 10 datafields and allows to set each data fields data / color / icon (yes/no) value independently - putting those 30 fields in the main settings view is really a mess so I'd like to put them in a sub group like "Set up data fields" which opens a sub settings view.

Additionally, I'm not sure where to give this feedback, the android garmin connect iq app has a terrible settings view design:

  • I really dislike that the boolean switch view is colored and all other settings are not - this makes the switch look like a header...

If this is the right point to give this feedback it's fine, if not, please let me know where I could give this feedback.

EDIT: the android app e.g. does already support all my suggestions for garmin native settings - you can see them when you click the watch inside the garmin connect app and show the garmin watch settings. This view has groups, icons and also support to open sub settings by clicking an item.
