all course point distances are set to zero

All course point distances in Garmin Edge 1040 are set to zero. FW version 16.13.

It seams to be a CIQ bug (previously, when the GPX was imported to CIQ and the exported as GPX, it had the same order of the course points; now the course point order is changed in the export GPX file).

Process:

- use Garmin Connect PC app (browser version)

- import course from GPX file

- course points are shown in the map

- send the course to the device via Garmin Express

- select the course in the device / Ride

- the device beeps and shows sequentially all course point names

- in the course point screen there are all course points with distance = 0

- the only c. p. with distance is the finish course point

Note: Old course (imported about 1 month earlier) has course points OK with distances, so it is probably not the device FW issue.

  • No problem! We have a lot of products and services with "Connect" in the name, so it can get confusing. Slight smile

I'm not sure whether this is a Garmin Connect problem or an issue with the Edge, but I think it would make sense to start with Garmin Connect: https://forums.garmin.com/apps-software/mobile-apps-web/f/garmin-connect-web.

  • Yes, Brandon, you are right.

    Thank you for your reply.

I have decided the Connect IQ flag /and the whole thread) was inappropriate right after I sent it but it was too late. I could not to correct it. So, I had to wait for the reply.

I was reading a similar issue with Connest IQ and did not switch to the right forum.

    Sorry for that.

Could you pls drive me where the appropriate thread is for the Garmin Connect issues, if you happen to know?

    Thank you

    Zdenek

P.S. I an a newbie here on the Garmin forums.

    Best regards

  • I'm not sure I understand how this is a Connect IQ issue—is there a Connect IQ app being used in this case? It sounds like you're simply sending a course from the Garmin Connect web site to the device via Garmin Express. Am I understanding correctly?
