Since this issue is not evident in the latest SDK, this will not be addressed (the 4.0 SDK is the updated version with the fix).

ActivityMonitor.getInfo() not working on Garmin Simulator for Vivoactive 4, Vivoactive 4s and Venu series

When I try to run watch faces or widgets that use the ActivityMonitor.getInfo() on Vivoactive 4, Vivoactive 4s, or Venu series device types, with SDK 3.2.5, SDK 3.2.4 or SDK 3.2.3 I always get this error:

Error: Symbol Not Found Error

Details: Failed invoking <symbol>

This does not happen with SDK 3.2.2, SDK 3.2.1 or the modern SDK 4.0.x

  • When you switch SDKs you are restarting the sim, correct?

At this point in time, you probably won't see any fixes for 3.2 SDKs, and really should just be using 4.0.x (4.0.3 is the latest.) and make sure your devices are updated.

  • You do want to move to 4.0.x for sure,  A number of devices have been added in 4,0.x (the "devices" in the sdk manager) that you wont see with 3.2.x.  And you can build for any device with CIQ, including the venu 2/venu 2s which have CIQ 4.x

  • Yes.

The weird thing does not appear on SDK 3.2.2 or SDK 3.2.1.

On the other hand, I can create the .prg or .iq files with any SDK and without issues, so it seems related between the simulator and some SDKs.

As you comment, I'll have to move to SDK 4.0.3 :-(
