Watchface: Scuba

Hi,

this watchface mimics a automatic scuba watch.

6 oclock bar is battery (turning red with battery drain)
white spot ist steps.
Really good visibility on watch.

Feedback welcome!

  • really nice! Thank you for using!
  • This is the best watch face.
Unfortunately since 3.0 firmware it reboots my Fenix3 periodically.
    Uninstalling until fixed. Gutted :-(

Current Version built with new SDK. No reboots yet. SDK seems more stable.

Attempting to change watch face color

After multiple attempts following your instructions to change watch face color, I am having no success.

If I am understanding this correctly, both the original <name>.STR file and the text file renamed <name>.STR should remain in the garmin/apps/data folder, yes?

If that is correct, I'm confused.

I leave the Scuba Watch face as current watch face when connecting watch to computer. I then download White.txt, rename it to <name>.STR, then place it in garmin/apps/data folder, then disconnect watch from computer, but it stays green.

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

EDIT: Just to make sure I wasn't goofing up by leaving the watch face on and trying to edit it at the same time, I just attempted to switch watch faces before attaching to computer and modifying garmin/apps/data and adding the .txt file - still no luck.
  • Is it possible to add the Bluettoth logo to the watch face so that we can see if the watch is connected to the phone?

Hi! Sorry for the late answer. The Watchface Executable is a PRG File located in Apps. The corresponding settings file is located in apps/data and has extension STR. Both share the same name (a combination of letters and numbers, e.g. xyz123). So it's important to identify the correkt PRG File for the watchface as the name leads you to the correct STR File, e.g. xyz123.STR. Put white.txt into apps/data and rename it to e.g. xyz123.STR. This should change your colors.

    Good luck!
