This watchapp can search and get for You nodes (POIs) from Openstreetmap project and store selected in Watch as the POI. You can use this POI for navigation, show on the map etc.

Version 0.0.1 - more than alpha, concept - but working, technology test

Short manual:
- on first page press Start to the search
- select distance to search 1km, 5km, 25km or 100km - in the city near is 1km, in the mountain 25km etc.
- select type of search (amenity, peak, tourism) - this list will be grow - send propositions by forum

Error mesagess:
-1 - no position, gps return null location
-3 - no connection to internet or OSM data - watch can't get data for app

You must be connected to smartphone with CIQ, and allow internet connection for watch.

    Great idea!
Will it be available for all watches that support CIQ?
Can you give more info for this "show on the map etc"? As far as I know, only Epix will support basemap displayed. So what will be for the others?

No. Only F3 and Epix support api for poi's:

    http://developer.garmin.com/downloads/connect-iq/monkey-c/doc/Toybox/PersistedLocations.html

Show on the map: if You run activity or navigation, f3 show map. If You display stored activity too. POI's are show on own locations.
Epix support basemap but it is only background to tracks and poi's. I don't know why f3 can't - it's strange.

I'm add to next version search:
    - towers - good like a peak for triangulate own position
    - shop
    - cash machine
    - restaurant

    New version incoming:
    - new the server engine, more data from poi's description (good for nonlatin pois), faster search, two redundancy overpass engines
    - new 'menuless' navigation
    - look around or look forward +-20degres by compass direction
  • Pretty useful, works great. Few suggestion :
    - more categories of POI. Is there an OSM list of categories available?
    - a "save all" option, to add all the POI around you in one click
    - didn't find out if there's a limit in the number of POI listed, is there?

    Regards
