Datafield: NavMultiField

NavMultiField is full screen sized data field with various metrics and turn by turn instructions on one screen for easy navigation during the ride or workout.

Supported devices have ability to navigate along route from factory. However rendering turn-by-turn navigation is limited and usability is compromised, mainly on non-map devices. NavMultiField is trying to change this and brings back usefulness of navigation on these devices.

It is mainly developed for MTB riding with watch on handlebar to see all important without necessity to scroll screens. By design it can be also used in other types of workouts including running, where speed data is replaced by pace. To understand layout of data field, please check description image in the gallery. Turn-by-turn instructions are loaded either from route/course which is expected to be prepared on device before heading to the trip or auto-generated from map on devices featuring them. These instructions can be used not only as turn signals but to get other location related information during workout. Both metric and imperial units supported.

You can find guide how to create such course under link above. I appreciate any feedback and tips for improvements. Would you like to have some values configurable? Which one?

HINT - Turn on: Main menu > Settings > Navigation > Heading Bug - Show
- This will show small arrow pointing to course direction on edge of screen on top of datafield.

Rendered metrics:
- Time – 24h / 12h
- Compass – North indicator - rotation of watch ignored during movement
- HR Zones bar (if in some zone) – based on user settings
- Actual HR
- Speed km/h / mi/h (or 5S avg cadence in running activity m/km / m/mi)
- Actual cadence – rpm or steps/min
- Next navigation point - text – max 15 characters + distance; if off course – showing off course distance; if route without turn-by-turn instruction – showing remain distance - in this case the text is empty as data field can’t be sure whether it is distance to end or next waypoint with blank text (limitation of CIQ); empty if navigation off
- Altitude – m / ft
- Total ascent – m / ft
- Total distance
- Activity timer
- Temperature - from internal sensor (tempe not yet supported)
- GPS signal
- Number of notifications on connected phone or if phone disconnected
- Battery level
